We are committed to getting books to students! Please see the LCMSD Library Instruction and Procedures Models on the LCMSD COVID Response website to see our plans to get books to students and staff.
Currently During Distance Learning:
Teachers & Staff: Libraries will be closed to teachers and staff. They may request books by emailing the library staff or by placing books on hold in the catalog system. Please allow adequate time as staff is not required to be in the libraries every day. Books may be returned by leaving them in the designated box in the staff room.
Students: Libraries will be closed to students. Students in grades 3 - 8 may request books by placing books on hold in the catalog system. Parents or teachers of students in grades TK - 2 may request books for them by placing books on hold in the catalog system or emailing the library staff a request. Emails:
[email protected] or [email protected]. Library staff will email with pickup instructions when books are ready for pickup. Books may be returned by leaving them in Library Book Return box on Fridays between 8 am - 4 pm at each site.
FOR TEACHERS: Teachers, many of us used this list, SLJ COVID-19 Publisher Information Directory, which was created last spring to inform our read aloud choices. Some publishers are extending the time period.
